Update Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat N7100XXUFND3

Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates is now available for the Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 device. The new update comes with the latest goodies of Samsung and powered with some new features. The update is available via KIES in France, with and OTA update soon to follow. This one if the official firmware from the Samsung and it includes UI tweaks, a noticeable speed increase, and a camera shortcut from the lock screen. This guide is only for the Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. So, first confirm your phone model number in your android phone settings. To do this Go the Settings page of your device and check out the “About Device” option.

You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.


Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.



If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

Step 1. Download the Official N7100XXUFND3 firmware for Note 2 here and extract the folder on your desktop.

Step 2. Now Download the ODIN flash tool from here and extract the file on your desktop. You have to run this application to install the update on your Galaxy Note 2.

Step 3. Power off your phone. Boot the Galaxy Note 2 into Download Mode, to do this by press and hold Volume Down + Home buttons together and then press the Power button until the device turns on. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.


Step 4. Now your device in Download mode. Connect your device with computer via USB cable and run the ODIN application on your desktop. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box of ODIN screen will turn blue with the COM port number.

Step 5. From the ODIN screen click on the PDA or AP button and browse the firmware package file that you downloaded and extract on step 1. And make sure that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time check boxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option in Odin is not selected.

Step 6. After that hit the START button to begin the installation process.

Step 7. Now the installation process will take some time to update your Note 2. Once the installation process is completed, your phone will restart and at that time you can disconnect your device from the computer and your device is updated with the latest firmware.
