Step 1. Download the XWUAMG3 Android 4.2.2 Firmware for Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 T310 here and extract the downloaded folder on your desktop.
Step 2. Download the ODIN flash tool on you desktop and extract the folder on your windows desktop.
Step 3. Both the important files are saved on your desktop. Switch off your Tab and wait for 5 to 6 seconds. Now boot your device in Download mode, to do this press and hold Volume Down + Power button together until you see a construction Android robot in tablet screen. Press Volume Up button again to enter into Download Mode.
Step 4. Now Tab is in download mode. Connect the tablet to the computer via USB cable. Now you should see the blue sign in Odin screen, that means your tablet is connected successfully and ready to update. If you don’t see the Blue sign , then try the different USB port on your PC, if still not connected then reinstall the USB drivers and reconnect your device.
Step 5. Once the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 T310 is connected with the ODIN application, do the following: (Do this very carefully otherwise you brick your device)
Select these files from the extracted firmware package(Step 1);
a- Select the PDA checkbox, and click the ‘.tar.md5? file
b- Tap the Phone checkbox, and select the file named ‘modem’ (ignore if such file is not found)
c- Choose the CSC checkbox, and click the file named ‘CSC’ (ignore if there is no such file)
d- Click the PIT checkbox, and choose the ‘.pit’ file (ignore if the file is missing)
[Note: Ignore the last three steps (b, c and d) if such files are not found.]
Next, ensure that the check boxes “Auto Reboot”, “F. Reset Time” and “PDA” are the only check boxes checked and the rest are not. And Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked on the ODIN application
Step 6. Recheck all the settings again and hit the Start button on ODIN application to start the firmware update process.
Step 7. Once the update process is finished on your tablet you will see the PASS message on ODIN screen. Now you can unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer
