How to Update Galaxy S4 I9500 With XXUBMG1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1. Download the latest XXUBMG1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware from the below links and extract the same on your desktop:-
Ukraine (Kyivstar): I9500XXUBMG1_I9500OXEBME1_SEK.zip
Step 2. Now Download the ODIN flash tool from here and extract the file on your desktop. You have to run this application to install the update on your Galaxy S4 I9500.
Step 3. Power off your phone. Boot the Galaxy S4 into Download Mode, to do this by press and hold Volume Down + Home buttons together and then press the Power button until the device turns on. Now press the Volume Up button to enter Download Mode.
Step 4. Now your Galaxy 4 in Download mode. Connect your device with computer via USB cable and run the ODIN appliucation on your desktop. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box of ODIN screen will turn blue with the COM port number.

Select these files from the extracted firmware package(Step 1);
a) Click the PDA button and select file with .tar.md5 extension
b) Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name
c) Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name
d) Click the PIT button and select the .pit file
[Note: Ignore the last three steps (b, c and d) if such files are not found.] And Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked on the ODIN application.
Step 6. After that hit the START button to begin the installation process.
