Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean XXEMF6, XXEMG4 official firmware is available for UK, Italy, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Iraq, Morocco, Taiwan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine Galaxy S3 users. The new update is based on Android 4.1.2 OS and come with some new features and bug fixes. The Update is directly from the Samsung and the official firmware. Step 2. To flash the firmware on your phone, Download the ODIN flash tool here and extract the folder on your desktop.
Step 3. Now Switch off your phone and wait for 5 seconds. Now boot your phone in Download mode. To do this press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power button together until you see a construction Android robot in phone screen. Press Volume Up button again to enter into Download Mode.
Step 4. Now you phone is download mode and ready for the update process. Connect your phone to the Computer with USB cable and run the ODIN application on your desktop. Now you should see the blue sign in Odin screen, that means your phone is connected successfully and ready to update.
Step 5. Once the Samsung Galaxy S3 is connected with the ODIN application, do the following: (Do this very carefully otherwise you brick your device)
Select these files from the extracted firmware package(Step 1);
a- Select the PDA checkbox, and click the ‘.tar.md5? file
b- Tap the Phone checkbox, and select the file named ‘modem’ (ignore if such file is not found)
c- Choose the CSC checkbox, and click the file named ‘CSC’ (ignore if there is no such file)
d- Click the PIT checkbox, and choose the ‘.pit’ file (ignore if the file is missing)
[Note: Ignore the last three steps (b, c and d) if such files are not found.]
Next, ensure that the check boxes “Auto Reboot”, “F. Reset Time” and “PDA” are the only check boxes checked and the rest are not. And Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked on the ODIN application.
Step 6. Recheck all the setting once again, once you are sure that all setting are correct then hit the Start button from the DOIN application scree to start the update process.
Step 7. The update process will take some time, once the update process is finished your phone will reboot automatically and you will see the PASS message on your ODIN application screen. This means the update process is complected successfully, now you will disconnect your device from the computer.
