a) First and important thing is to take the backup of your Samsung Galaxy Note N700 device, read our guide here how to Backup Android contacts, SMS, application, Call logs and more.
b) Make sure that your phone battery is full charge or near about 60-70% battery level.

d. Enable USB debugging mode on your HTC one, To do this go to Settings>> Applications. From there navigate and click on Development option and check the USB Debugging Mode.
How to Update Galaxy Note N7000 with Android 4.1.2 XXLT9 Jelly Bean Firmware
Step 1. Download the Android 4.1.2 XXLT9 firmware from the given links, choose the firmware as per your carrier and devcie.

Step 2. After downloading the right firmware for your device, now download the ODIN flash tool from here. You have to use this application to flash the ROM on your devcie.
Step 3. Now firmware and ODIN tool are saved on your desktop. Turn off your device and boot up in Download mode. To do this press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons until construction Android robot appears on phone’s screen. Now press Volume Up to continue and enter Download mode.
Step 4. Once your device in Download mode, now you have to connect your device with the computer via USB cable and Run the ODIN application on the desktop. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box of ODIN screen will turn blue with the COM port number.
Step 5. Now on ODIN application you have to browse some files to update your devcie, Follow this process very carefully. Select these files extracted from the N7000XXLT9 folder to install on phone
Click PDA button and select file with .tar.md5 extension
Click Phone button and select file with Modem in its name
Click CSC button and select file with CSC in its name
Click PIT button and select the .pit file
Note: Ignore last three steps if such files are not found
After selecting all these files make sure that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option in Odin is not selected.
Step 6. Now Hit the Start Button from the ODIN application to start the update process on your Galaxy Note N700.
Once the update process is finished on your device you will see the a PASS message with green background on the ODIN application. Now your device will reboot and at this time you can disconnect your device.
Now the Galaxy Note N700 is updated with the latest Android 4.1.2 firmware. In case at the time of restart your device stuck on Android loop or stuck on Android boot screen, then follow this guide to come out of Android loop.
