2. INSTALL SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 DRIVERS

You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.

3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE

Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.

4. CHARGE YOU ANDROID

Step 1. Download the latest Android 4.4.2 Firmware from the below mention links and extract the folder on your desktop.

Step 2. Now download the ODIN zip file here and extract the folder on your desktop. You need to you this tool to flash the firmware files on your android.

Step 3. Switch of your Galaxy Note 3 and boot the phone in Download Mode. To do this Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons.

Step 4. Now you device is in download mode, connect it to the PC with the USB cable and run the ODIN application on your desktop. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box of ODIN screen will turn blue with the COM port number.

Click the PDA button and select the .tar.md5 file.
Click the Phone button and select file with MODEM in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
Click the CSC button and select file with CSC in its name. Ignore if there is no such file.
Click the PIT button and select the .pit file. Ignore if there is no such file.

And make sure that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option in Odin is not selected.

Step 6. Now Hit the Start Button from the ODIN application to start the update process.

Step 7. Once the update process is finished on your device you will see the a PASS message with green background on the ODIN application.
