3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE
Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.
4. CHARGE YOU ANDROID
If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

UPDATE GALAXY NOTE 10.1 WITH ANDROID 4.4.2
Step 1. Download Android 4.4.2 N8000XXUDND5 for Galaxy Note 10.1 to your computer and extract the zip file.
Step 2 – Download ODIN which will help you to install Android 4.4.2 on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000.
Step 3. Switch off your device, now boot Galaxy in Download mode. To do this press and hold Volume Down + Power button together until you see a construction Android robot in tablet screen. Press Volume Up button again to enter into Download Mode.

Click on ‘AP’ and select file with ‘AP’ in its name.
Click on ‘BL’ and select file with ‘BL’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Click on ‘CP’ and select file with ‘MODEM’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Click on ‘CSC’ and select file with CSC’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
Next, ensure that the check boxes “Auto Reboot”, “F. Reset Time” are the only check boxes checked and the rest are not. And Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked on the ODIN application.
Step 6. Recheck all the setting once again, once you are sure that all setting are correct then hit the Start button from the ODIN application screen to start the update process.
Step 7. Now the update process will take some time to flash the firmware on your device, Once the process is finished you will see the PASS message on your ODIN app screen. At this time you can remove your device from the computer.
