Please, Enable USB Debugging – On your phone go to Settings > About phone > Tap on MIUI Version several times. This will enable Developer options. Now go back to Settings > Additional settings > Developer options > Enable USB debugging.

Step 1. Download the ADB and fastboot files here and this will create the ADB folder on your C drive (C:/ADB)

Step 2. Download the latest file here and move the zip file on your phone internal memory.

Step 3. Download TWRP Recovery and extract the folder on your desktop. And move the TWRP recovery image file into the ADB folder that you created in step 1.

Step 4. Now boot your phone in fastboot mode. Switch off the phone. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button and turn on the handset.

Step 5. Connect your phone to the PC with USB cable. Now open the folder in which you have the TWRP recovery image file. Press and hold the SHIFT key and press right click button and select Open command window here.

Step 6. Now enter the following command to run TWRP on your phone, This will not install the TWRP on your phone.

Step 7. Wait some seconds. The device will now restart into recovery.

Step 8. Select install update from zip and select from your sd card.

Step 9. Finally restart the device and enjoy root.

How to Unroot Mi4i

Step 1. Open SuperSu app on your device.

Step 2. Go to settings

Step 3. Select Full Unroot.

You are fully unrooted now. Enjoy.
