CHECK PHONE MODEL

This guide is only for the Sony Xperia Z2 android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. 1. BACKUP YOUR ANDROID DATA

2. INSTALL SONY XPERIA Z2 DRIVERS

You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.

3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE

Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.

4. CHARGE YOU ANDROID

If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

CWM RECOVERY FOR SONY XPERIA Z2

Step 1. First Unlock the bootloader of Xperia Z2. Read the guide here.

Step 2. Download the CWN Recovery One Click Installer here and extract the folder on your desktop.

Step 3. After extracting the folder on your desktop, you will see lots of file in the folder. Connect your phone to the PC with the USB cable and Run the ’1-click-CWM-recovery-installer.bat’ file and follow the simple on-screen instructions like ‘Press any key to continue..’ to install CWM recovery on your Z2.

Step 4. Once the CWM is installed on the phone, you can disconnect it from your PC.

That’s it. Now Your S5 smartphone is running with the CWM Recovery.

GUIDE:- ROOT SONY XPERIA Z2

Step 1. Once he CWM recovery is isntalled on the phone. Download the latest SuperSU update.zip from: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu and transfer it to a separate folder on your phone’s internal / external SD Card.

Step 2. Boot your Z2 in recovery mode. To do this Switch off your phone and Switch it ON again when you see the Sony logo and the LED light turns pink/amber/orange keep tapping/pressing VOLUME UP key

Step 3. Once your device in recovery mode, flash the supersu update.zip file that you downloaded and moved on your phone on Step 1. (Select Install zip » Choose zip from sdcard » browse to the location where you saved the file and select the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.xx.zip)

Step 4. Reboot you device form the recovery main menu .

Now you have the rooted Z2 with CWM recovery.
