CHECK PHONE MODEL
This guide is only for the Redmi 1s android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. So, first confirm your phone model number in your android phone settings. To do this Go the Settings page of your device and check out the “About Device” option.
PRE-REQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS
Before following the below Mention guide, It’s always recommended to follow our pre-requisites and requirement to stay safe.
1. BACKUP YOUR ANDROID DATA

2. INSTALL USB DRIVERS
First you need to Setup ADB and Fastboot Drivers on windows PC. This will help you to sendbasic linux commands, and a variety Android specific commands from PC to connected Android devices.
Now you need to install the USB drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.
3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE
Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.
4. CHARGE YOUR ANDROID
If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

ROOT REDMI 1s ON MIUI 7 and INSTALL TWRP
Step 1. Doanload the root package for Redmi 1s here and save the zip file on your phone internal memory.
Step 2. Now open the updater app on your phone and Tap on the menu option (Top right corner) and from here choose update package.
Step 3. Now select the update.zip file that you saved on your phone in step 1 and it will root your phone.
Step 4. Now the phone is rooted and next steps are to Install the TWRP recovery.
Step 5. Install the FLashify App from google play store on your phone. Here is the link to install the App.
Step 5. Now doanload this TYWRP img file and save the same on your phones internal memory.
Step 6. Open the FLashify app on your phone and SDlect option Recovery Image > Choose a file > Select the TWRP img that you saved on your phone and flash it.
That’s it. Now your Redmi 1S is rooted and TWRP recovery is also installed.
