Pre-requisites and Requirements

b) Once the backup files are saved on your device or on your desktop, Enable USB debugging mode on your device, read the guide here how to enable USB debugging mode.
c) Make sure that your Nexus 7 (2013) battery is full charge or near about 60-70% battery level.
d) Download the Latest Nexus 7 (2013) drivers on your PC and install it to start the update process. You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide.

Instruction to Root Nexus 7
Step 2. Download SuperSU v1.80.zip for Nexus 7 2013 on computer.
Step 3. Now connect your tablet to the computer with USB cable and move the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip file to the root folder of your Nexus 7 Tablet.
Step 4. Now Download CWM 188.8.131.52 and save it on your AndroidADB folder, that you created on Step 1.
Step 5. Now Switch off your tablet and wait for few seconds. Boot the Nexus 7 tablet into Bootloader Mode. To do so, press Volume Down and Power keys for a few seconds until some text appears on the screen, which confirms entry into Boot loader Mode.
Step 6. Now go on your PC and open the AndroidADB folder and open Command Prompt (press Shift and then right-click on empty space to open Command Prompt)
Step 7. Now enter the below mentioned commands and hit enter
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-184.108.40.206-flo.img
Step 8. Once the recovery is installed on your tablet, choose the recovery option from the fastboot menu and boot the tablet in the recovery mode.
Step 9. Now you tablet is in Recovery Mode. From here Select “flash Zip from SD Card” and press the power button to select. Now select “Choose Zip from SD Card” and install the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip file on your device.
Step 10. Once the the process is done. GO back to the recovery main menu and select “reboot system now” from the Recovery menu.
