Here we are back again with the new guide to Root the Moto G 3rd Gen (2015), Install TWRP recovery and Unlock the bootloader. Moto G (2015) is finally official and is already on the stores, most of the user already bought the new android phone and want to install custom Rom or Rooted application. To do this first, you need to unlock the bootloader and install the TWERP recovery after that flash the SuperSu zip file to get the root access. Here in this tutorial we’ll show you how to do that in simple steps.

This guide is only for the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830, S5830i, Ace II, Galaxy Fit GT 5670, Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Gio GT-S5660 android smartphone. PRE-REQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS

1. BACKUP YOUR ANDROID DATA

2. INSTALL Moto DRIVERS

First you need to Setup ADB and Fastboot Drivers on windows PC. This will help you to send basic Linux commands, and a variety Android-specific commands from PC to connected Android devices.

Now you need to install the USB drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.

3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE

Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.

4. CHARGE YOUR ANDROID

If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

Install TWRP on Moto G 3rd Gen (2015)

Step 1. Download TWP image: twrp-osprey-2.8.7-test1.img here and save the image file in the ADB folder that you created from the above mention guide – SETUP ADB & FASTBOOT DRIVERS ON PC.

Step 2. Open the ADB folder and right-click while holding the shift key. A window will appear. Select Open Command Window Here.

Step 3. Connect your Phone to the PC with USB cable and enter the following command on Command prompt window:-

fastboot flash recovery twrp-osprey-2.8.7-test1.img

Step 4. This will flash TWRP on your phone.

Now the TWRP recovery in installed on your Phone, now check the next guide to root the phone.

Root MOTO 3rd Gen 2015

Step 1. Download SuperSU: UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip

Step 2. Move the ZIP file on your Phone and boot the Phone in recovery mode.

Step 3. Once you are on the TWRP recovery, Go to Install and choose the ZIP file.

Step 4. Once the ZIP file is flashed on your Phone, Go back to the main menu of recovery and Reboot the phone.

Now your Phone is rooted and TWRP recovery is installed.
