Root All Samsung Galaxy S6 Models and Install TWRP

In this Guide we will show you how to root and install TWRP on Any Samsung Galaxy S6 Models. Yes, this guide will work on all the Galaxy S6 models. First you need to FLash the TWRP recovery on your phone with the help of ODIN tool and after that flash the SuperSU file to get the root access. The guide is pretty simple and take a 15 to 20 minutes to complete all the task on your Galaxy S6 Models.

This guide is only for the Samsung Galaxy S6 android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. So, first confirm your phone model number in your android phone settings. To do this Go the Settings page of your device and check out the “About Device” option.


Before following the below Mention guide, It’s always recommended to follow our pre-requisites and requirement to stay safe.


Do take the Full Backup of your Android Apps, SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, Bookmarks. This one is one of the most important step that you have to follow, as we don’t want anyone losing their personal data or apps. For help on Backup and Restore check out the below mention guides.


You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.


Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.



If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

After following the above mention steps follow the below mention guide one by one to proceed with the tutorial. All the above mention steps are very important, so do follow all the steps and do exactly what is told.



Step 1. Download all the below mention files on your desktop.

TWRP for all S6 models: twrp-

TWRP for Sprint S6: twrp-

SuperSU flashable zip:

Step 2. Copy the file to your phone.

Step 3. Extract the ODIN Zip folder on your desktop.

Step 4. Now turn off your Galaxy S6 and reboot it into the Download Mode by pressing the Volume Down+Home+Power keys simultaneously for 3-5 seconds.


Step 5. Now Run the ODIN.exe file on your desktop and connect your phone to the PC with USB cable.

Step 6. ID:COM port of Odin will be highlighted to show that your device has been detected by the tool.

Step 7. In ODIN app Click the AP button and select twrp- file.

Step 8. After this click the Options tab in Odin and uncheck Auto Reboot option.

Step 9. Now Click on the Start button to start the installation process. The installation will be finished within a few moments and you’ll get PASS! message on Odin.

Step 10. Now detach the USB cable from your Galaxy S6 and hold the Volume Down+Power buttons at the same time for about 7 seconds. As soon as the screen turns off/black, quickly press and hold the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons simultaneously. Remember, you have to do this before the boot screen with Samsung Galaxy S6 logo appears or your phone will reboot. Just as the you see the Samsung Galaxy S6 logo, release the Power key but keep the Volume Up+Home buttons pressed until you are greeted a blue screen with while Android logo followed by TWRP menu.

Step 11. Now your phone is in Recovery Mode.

Step 12. From recovery main menu Tap the Install button in TWRP, navigate to and select it.

Step 13. Confirm the installation by swiping the slider button.

Step 14. Once the installation is done, go back to the main menu and Reboot the system.

That’s it! Now you have a rooted S6 with TWRP recovery installed on it
