Install AOSP Android 4.3 Custom ROM on Galaxy S4 GT I9500

Pre-requisites and Requirements

c) Make sure that your  Samsung Galaxy S4 battery is full charge or near about 60-70% battery level.

d) Download the Latest Galaxy S4 USB drivers on your PC and install it to start the root process. You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide.

Step 1. Download the AOSP Custom ROM Android 4.3 from here and save the folder on your desktop. Don’t extract the folder on your desktop.

Step 2. Connect your Galaxy S 4 to the computer with USB cable and move the Downloaded ROM  in your device.

Step 3. Once the file is moved on your device, switch off your phone and boot into Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode in Samsung Galaxy S4 can be entered by pressing Volume Up button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. Step 4. Once your phone in Recovery Mode, clear Wipe Data/cache.

Step 5. Now select “install zip from sd card” to choose the AOSP Custom ROM Android 4.3 Zip Package.

Step 6. Once selected the Zip file, it will take some time for applying the update. Once the Firmware is update on your phone, phone will be reboot.

That’s it, now you Galaxy S 4 is updated with the AOSP Android 4.3 Custom ROM. To verify go to your phone “Settings > About Phone
