First take the backup of all your applications, contacts, SMS, call logs on your device with this guide. Once the backup process is completed on your device download the latest Sony driver on your desktop to connect your device with the computer. How to Install Android 4.3 Google Play Edition on Sony Xperia Z
Step 1. Download the Android 4.3 Google Play Edition firmware on your desktop.
Step 2. Now copy the download file on your Sony Xperia Z SD card to start the update process.

Step 4. Now your Sony Xperia Z on the recovery mode, from here select Wipe data/factory reset and Wipe Cache partition, after that from the Advance option select Wipe Dalvik Cache .
Step 5. Now go back to the recovery menu of your Sony Xperia Z android mobile and select choose zip from sdcard. And install the download file that you copied on you device.
Step 6. Once the installation is done, go back to the menu and reboot your device.
