Before You Begin

b) Once the backup files is saved on your device or on your desktop, after that Enable USB debugging mode on your device, read the guide here how to enable USB debugging mode.
c) Make sure that your HTC One battery is full charge or near about 60-70% battery level.
d) Download the Latest HTC One USB drivers on your PC and install it to start the root process. You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide.
How to use HTC one Root Toolkit to Root, Unlock Bootloader, Install Custom Recovery
Download the HTC One Tool kit and install the application on your windows PC, you can find the download link at the end of this post. Once the toolkit is installed on your windows machine, run the application from the desktop. First Install the Drivers from the Toolkit Install Drivers Button after that follow the Unlock Bootloader process with the help of HTC one tool kit application. Follow all the onscreen instruction one by one to unlock the bootloader.
Now your next step is to install the Custom recovery on your device, to do this select the recovery from the toolkit which you want to flash on your device. Once the Recovery image is downloaded on your pc then Select Recovery Image dropdown button and start the flash process on HTC one.
