Step 1. Download the XXUBMF8 Android 4.2.2 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S 4 I9500 here and extract the same on the desktop to update your device.
Step 2. After Downloading the official firmware on your desktop, download the ODIN flash tool on your desktop and extract it on your desktop. You have to use this application on your device to update your Galaxy S 4.
Step 3. Now both the Official firmware and ODIN flash tool i saved on your desktop. To start the process firs t switch off your Galaxy S 4 and reboot the device in Download mode, to do this press and hold down the Volume Down and Home buttons while pressing the Power button. Step 5. In Odin, click the PDA button and select the and select the XXUBMF8 .tar.md5 file that you download on the Step 1. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked on the ODIN application.
Step 6. Now, hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
Once the update process is complete on your Galaxy S 4, your phone will restart and soon you will see a PASS message with green background.
