CHECK PHONE MODEL
This guide is only for the OnePlus One android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. So, first confirm your phone model number in your android phone settings. To do this Go the Settings page of your device and check out the “About Device” option.
PRE-REQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS

1. BACKUP YOUR ANDROID DATA

2. INSTALL ONEPLUS DRIVERS
First you need to Setup ADB and Fastboot Drivers on windows PC. This will help you to sendbasic linux commands, and a variety Android specific commands from PC to connected Android devices.
Now you need to install the USB drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.
3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE
Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.
4. CHARGE YOUR ANDROID
If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

HOW TO ROOT ONEPLUS ONE
Step 1. Setup and Isntall the ADB drivers for OnePlus one here, now yow will fine the ADB folder on your C drive.
Step 2. On your phone go to Settings > About phone > Tap on Build number 7 times. This will enable Developer options. Now go back to Settings > Developer options > Enable USB debugging
Disable CM Recovery Protection – On your phone go to Settings > Developer options. Then disable the ‘Update recovery with system updates’ option.
Step 3. Turn the phone off. Then boot it into fastboot mode by holding volume up + power. The phone will display “fastboot” text indicating that it has successfully entered fastboot mode.
Step 4. Now open the ADB folder that you created in step 1. And open a command prompt window here, Press and hold the SHIFT key and press right click button and select Open command window here.
Step 5. Plug the phone into your PC, then run the following command:- (Leave this step if you already unlocked the bootloader of your phone, go to Step 6.)

After the above command has finished executing, run the following
Step 6. Now the Phone is unlocked and rebooted. Once the phone is rebooted enable the USB debugging mode again. And download the following files.
TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP)
Step 7. Rename the recovery file that you downloaded above to recovery.img. and Move the file in the ADB folder that you created in step 1. And Move the Super SU Zip file on your phone internal memory.
Step 8. Now again Turn the phone off. Then boot it into fastboot mode by holding volume up + power.
Step 9. Now open the ADB folder that you created in step 1. And open a command prompt window here, Press and hold the SHIFT key and press right click button and select Open command window here. Run the following commands:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Once the flash has completed type the following command to reboot the phone in recovery:
fastboot boot recovery.img
Step 10. Now your phone will boot in recovery mode.
Step 11. From recovery main menu, Go to Install > browse to SuperSU zip and select it.
Step 12. Swipe to confirm the installation. Then reboot.
That’s it. Now your phone is rooted with TWRP recovery.
