Pre-requisites and Requirements

b) Once the backup files are saved on your device or on your desktop, after that Enable USB debugging mode on your device, read the guide here how to enable USB debugging mode.

c) Make sure that your Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 i9205 & i9200   battery is full charge or near about 60-70% battery level.

d) Download the Latest Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 i9205 & i9200 USB drivers on your PC and install it to start the root process. You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide.

How to Root Galaxy Mega 6.3 i9205 & i9200 and Install ClockWorkMod Recovery

Step 1. Download the Galaxy Mega 6.3 package from here and save the folder on your desktop.

Step 2. Now extract the folder and you should see three files Odin folder, boot.img.tar and i9200-cwm-recovery.tar

Step 3. Now switch of your Galaxy Mega 6.3 and boot the phone in Download mode. To do this press and hold the Volume Down key, Home button, and Power button., You should see a warning triangle sign, press Volume Up to continue.

Step 4. Now the device is in download mode, connect your device with the PC via USB cable and run the ODIN application on your desktop. Now you should see the blue sign in Odin screen, that mean your phone is connected successful and ready to update.

Step 5. From the ODIN app click on the PDA button and select the rooting package file (boot.img.tar) that you downloaded on step 1. Next, ensure that the check boxes “Auto Reboot”, “F. Reset Time” and “PDA” are the only check boxes checked and the rest are not. And Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked on the ODIN application.

Step 6. Click on Start button from ODIN application screen to start the flashing process.

Step 7. After few minutes you see a green PASS message in Odin. Now your device will reboot automatically.

Step 8. After that again switch off your device and boot the device in download mode and follow the steps 3 and 4. But this time flash the i9200-cwm-recovery.tar on your device with the help of ODIN application.

Step 9. Click on Start button from ODIN application screen and flashing process will start.

Step 10. After few minutes you see a green PASS message in Odin. Now your device will reboot automatically.

Step 11. After that go to the Google play store and download the SuperSU app on your device and enable SuperSu after installation.

That’s it, now you hvae the rooted Galaxy Mega 6.3 i9205 & i9200
