HOW TO ROOT SPRINT SAMSUNG GALAXY S4
Step 1. Download CF Auto Root file package for you phone here and extract the folder on your desktop. In the folder you will see a file called “CF-Auto-Root-jfltespr-jfltespr-sphl720.tar.md5”. You have to flash this file on your device to get the root access.
Step 2. Now Download the ODIN flash tool here and extract the folder on your desktop.
Step 3. Turn off you phone and boot it in Download Mode. To do this press and hold the Volume Down key, Home button, and Power button. You should see a warning triangle sign, press Volume Up to continue.
Step 4. Now connect you phone to the PC via USB cable and run the ODIN application on the desktop. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box of ODIN screen will turn blue with the COM port number.
Step 5. From the ODIN screen click on the PDA or AP button and browse the CF Auto Rooted package (CF-Auto-Root-********.tar.md5) that your downloaded on Step 1. And make sure that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option in Odin is not selected.
Step 6. Hit the Start button to flash the root package on your device. The flashing process will take some time, once the installation is done you will see the PASS message with green background on the ODIN application.
