Guide to Root Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) on Android 4.4.2 N9005XXUENA6

Here is the working guide to root Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. This guide is only for those user who recently updated their note 3 with the latest N9005XXUENA6 firmware. Today in this tutorial we’ll show how you can easily root you Note 3 with CF-Auto-Root method, the process is very simple and takes a few minutes to complete the process.

CHECK PHONE MODEL

This guide is only for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) android smartphone. Don’t try this method on any of other Android devices, It may hard brick your device. So, first confirm your phone model number in your android phone settings. To do this Go the Settings page of your device and check out the “About Device” option.

PRE-REQUISITES AND REQUIREMENTS

1. BACKUP YOUR ANDROID DATA

2. INSTALL SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 DRIVERS

You need these drivers to connect your device with the computer to follow this guide. Without these USB drivers you can’t connect your device to the PC, first download and install these drivers on your system.

3. ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE

Now you need to enable USB debugging mode. Without enabling USB debugging mode on your device you can’t start the root, Custom ROM or Unlock process.

4. CHARGE YOU ANDROID

If your device switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device. Make sure that your Android battery is full charge or near about 50-70% battery level.

Step 1. To follow the process first download the CF-Auto-Root file here and extract the folder on your desktop.

Step 2. Now download the ODIN flash tool here to flash the root files on your device and extract the same on your desktop.

Step 3. Now both the important files are saved on your desktop. To start the root process switch off you phone and wait for few seconds, Now boot your device in download mode. To do this Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons.

Step 4. Once you device in download mode, connect your device to the computer with the USB cable.

Step 5. Now open the ODIN app on your desktop. Once the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box of ODIN screen will turn blue with the COM port number. See the screenshot for example.

Step 6. Now this step is very important, follow them very carefully on your ODIN app screen. Click on the PDA button on Odin and select the CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip file (Same file that you downloaded on the Step 1) And make sure that Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. Also, ensure the Re-Partition option in Odin is not selected.

Step 7. Double check all the settings and hit the Start button from the ODIN app to start the root process.

Step 8. The process will take some time and wait until you see a PASS! message in Odin’s top left box.

Step 9. Once you see the PASS message on the ODIN app, your phone will automatically reboot. Now you can disconnect your device from the PC.

Now you device is rooted and you can enjoy all the benefits of rooting on your Note 3. In case at the time of restart your device stuck on Android loop or stuck on Android boot screen, then follow this guide to come out of Android loop.

    Confirm that worked! Just I got the com color in odin as yellow and not green. And the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes was dimmed (Auto Reboot checked and F.Reset Time not checked which cannot be changed because it was dimmed). Nevertheless it worked okay!! (Note3 N9005 KK 4.4.2)

    I have one big problem! Odin showing pass but root checker showing my device is not properly
    rooted……….so supersu installed as well…….to be stated while I
    was on JellyBean 4.3 rooted via kingoapp root…….then upgraded my firmware to
    4.2.2 (N9005XUENA6 Poland) with odin 3.9 …….need some help……thanks in
